These pendants are cast from real beetle heads, sourced from specimens whose bodies were damaged! From left to right, they are Cyclommatus tarandus tarandus, Dorcus alcides, and Chalcosoma atlas keyboh.

Wear one by itself, stack it with your other favorite necklaces, or make an earring! Each charm is one of a kind. The original, real beetle head has a bail added on in wax. The model is then molded so it can be replicated, injected with molten wax, invested, burned out, and cast in precious metal using the process of lost wax casting.

This listing is for a pendant only. Additional hardware can be added separately. If you order a chain I will attach your front-facing pendant (Dorcus or Cyclommatus) to the chain for you — the Atlas will slide right on a chain by itself.

All charms are handmade to order — the molds need to be injected with wax, cleaned up, cast, and polished. Please allow 8 weeks for completion. Trust me, it’s worth the wait!
