FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO KEEP YOUR JEWELRY PRISTINE
Keep your jewelry dry. Do not wear it while bathing or swimming, in saunas, or during heavy exercise. While my lockets are designed to keep materials from getting out of them, they are not guaranteed to be waterproof from the outside in. If you get water inside your locket it may become moldy or discolored. Remember to remove jewelry before doing high-impact activities like chores, gardening, or working out.
Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on each day and the first thing you take off -- putting jewelry on after you’ve finished getting dressed and ready ensures it won’t snag on clothes or get excessive hair or skin products on it.
Keeping your jewelry in a lined jewelry box when you aren’t wearing it will not only help reduce tarnishing, but can help you get into a daily routine so it has a place to go when not in use. Polish with a soft polishing cloth. Silver jewelry may be polished using Tarn-X and following the instructions on the bottle.
Making a habit out of caring for your jewelry this way will become second nature sooner than you think. These tips are great for the jewelry you purchase from me, but they go for everything else you own as well --- from costume jewelry to fine family heirlooms, treating your collection with care will ensure it lasts for years to come. The more mindful you are, the longer your collection will remain in good condition.
