Spread a professional-looking Atlas moth specimen all by yourself! Each insect activity set contains everything you need to spread your own insects and arachnids at home, and the at-home workshop includes an Atlas moth specimen AND a spreading guide so you can follow along on your own!

Instructions for preparing other kinds of insects are sold here. This makes an amazing activity for people of all ages! Please supervise your children while using, use your best judgment based on the child’s abilities, and do not let babies or toddlers play with any component of this tool set. The box says ages 12+, what you choose to do with it is your business.

Your insect activity set will be packed to order. Everything is assembled by hand, by a real person (me!) so I hope you love them!

Each at-home workshop in a box includes the following:

• Atlas moth specimen (Attacus atlas)

• Butterfly & moth spreading guide

• Spreading board

• Box of 100 #4 tempered steel entomology pins in a storage box

• Rehydration sponge

• Two 2” x 3” wing spreading glass slides in a storage envelope

• Professional repair adhesive and applicator

• A little treat!

You will need to provide a small amount of water and a container (any zip-lock bag, tupperware, etc. that you already have on hand) and specimens to create a project.

Parts of the tool sets may vary slightly in size because I cut the boards and glass slides by hand and assemble everything myself! Each insect activity set is made to order in my beautiful sunlit loft in Chicago. Your purchase will ship packed in a combination of recycled and new materials in order to ensure it arrives safely. Please recycle when possible.
