LIFE LATELY

Wow, October flew by! I started it off with the opening of my shop and it's been nonstop ever since. I've had a handful of great classes at the Niche Lab, including terrarium-building and taxidermy workshops. We finally got our gas turned on (if you live in Chicago you know People's Gas is THE WORST and have been dragging their feet for months!) and it's just in time for the cold weather here.

I've mounted a few small animals for myself, too. It's nice to have a workspace where I can spread out my supplies for days at a time. The things I've been making are the only mounts I've done for myself since May, which is way too long.

Lots of stuff got disheveled and lost while moving in June, and I just recently found all of the negatives from our trip to Iceland. Here are a few that Eric took using a Holga.

This week was the most wonderful week of my entire life. (Actually it was nine days, but who's counting?) If you ever get a chance to visit Iceland, DO IT.

Last night was the best Halloween I've had as an adult. I stayed in (wearing kitty ears, in the name of being festive) and when E got done with his DJ gig for the night we ordered a giant potato and rosemary pizza from Pizza Metro, watched Hocus Pocus, and passed out.

If you want to follow along as things happen the best way to do so is Instagram or Facebook.
